CSX Provides Enhanced Web Site Access to the Disabled

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - December 7, 2011 - In its continuing effort to promote diversity, CSX has entered into an alliance with eSSENTIAL Accessibility™ to provide online tools that will allow people with disabilities or language barriers easier access to the company web site.

Anyone with a conventional personal computer who accesses the CSX web site - customers, investors, job seekers, public officials, employees and members of the general publiccan - click on the eSSENTIAL Accessibility™ icon at the foot of any CSX web page to download the suite of available tools. Visitors who have difficulty typing, moving a mouse or reading a web page, for example, will find their web experience greatly enhanced by the addition of this program.

"We sincerely welcome our web visitors and strive to be inclusive for all who wish to learn more about us online," said Susan Hamilton, CSX assistant vice president-Diversity. "With this new addition to our web site, we are providing mouse replacement tools, a page reader, a hands-free movement tracking system and many more customizable options for those whose limitations would otherwise prevent them from exploring our site."

Through its alliance with eSSENTIAL Accessibility™, CSX is taking part in a global Disability Community Involvement Initiative launched in association with leading advocacy groups for the disabled.

To view the eSSENTIAL Accessibility™ site, visit www.csx.com and click on the eSSENTIAL Accessibility™ icon at the bottom right of the page, or select the Website Accessibility site under the Responsibility tab.
